We may find plaque and tartar buildup on your teeth. These are difficult to remove on your own, which is why teeth cleanings are so important. Using a scaler, we will remove any buildup clinging to your teeth.

Gritty Toothpaste

Once the buildup is gone, we can begin brushing your teeth. Naturally, the form of brushing we employ is more extensive than what you perform on your own. We use a specialized toothpaste that gently scrubs your teeth before removing any buildup that is left over. Generally, this tastes no different from regular toothpaste.

Professional Flossing

Once your teeth are sparkling clean, we finish up with expert-level flossing. This is more extensive than typical flossing and handles any lingering debris in the more inaccessible areas of your mouth.

Rinse it Out

As you can expect, this involves a thorough rinsing that flushes out the toothpaste and any other leftover debris.

Fluoride Application

The dental cleaning ends with the application of a special fluoride paste to your teeth. While this doesn’t necessarily "clean" your teeth, it will act as a preventative measure against future decay. You can choose from different flavors for this solution.

During your visit, there may be some other steps included before or after your cleaning.

After Your Cleaning

We’ll ensure you walk out of our office with teeth that are protected against future decay. After the process is complete, you are free to go about your day; just make sure to avoid eating for at least half an hour and drop by after another six months for your next cleaning.
